The last victory of the COC-season went to Robert Johansson from Norway after 126 and 119.5 meters (236.9 pts) on Sunday. Only 0.7 points behind followed his compatriot Kenneth Gangnes (122.5/121.5m; 236.2 pts) ahead of the Austrian Stefan Kraft (125.5/115.5m; 231.3 pts).
In Kuopio/FIN will this weekend the last Continental Cup races be held. The first of two competitions won Wolfgang Loitzl (108.5/127.5m; 222.3 pts), who celebrated with that the third victory in a row. The second of the exciting race became his compatriot Manuel Poppinger (118/116m; 216.7 pts) ahead of Vegard Swensen (109/120m; 208.7 pts) from Norway.
Wolfgang Loitzl won also the second competition in Italian Predazzo, which was held in only one round today. The Austrian showed a jump on 136 meters (139.8 pts) and had with that a lead of 3.3 points in front of his compatriot Lukas Müller (132.5m; 136.5 pts). The third rank was gained by Bartlomiej Klusek from Poland with 131.5 meters (135.2 pts).
Not even in the team competitions of the World Cup are the Austrians unbeatable at the moment, also at the individual Continental Cup races. Wolfgang Loitzl won today's competition (127.5/128m; 259.4 pts) ahead of his compatriot Stefan Kraft (129.5/123m; 253.0 pts) and the unexpected third Marco Grigoli (123/125.5; 244.3 pts) from Switzerland.
In Wisla/POL were two Contintental Cup competitions carried out on the last weekend. Also these competitions were full of problems due to strond wind and both races were evaluated in only one round. The winners were Manuel Fettner from Austria and the Swiss Marco Grigoli.
Today the alltogether third Continental Cup competition took place in Oslo at the Midtstubakken hill and for the third time the victory went to Andreas Stjernen, who showed from the normal hill the distances of 105 and 105.5 meters (269 pts). Behind him wasn't today like on both previous days Kenneth Gangnes but Mitja Meznar (105/105m; 268 pts) and his team mate Ziga n(102/105m; 264 pts).
Also in the second competition in today's very foggy Oslo is the name of the winner Andreas Stjernen. The Norwegian secured the victory with distances of 93 and 94 meters (220.5 pts) in front of his compatriot Kenneth Gangnes (92.5/94.5m; 219.5 pts), who became second like yesterday, and Micheal Hayböck from Austria (90.5/95m; 213.5 pts).
The victory in the first of two Continental Cup competitions in Liberec/CZE goes to Sarah Hendrickson from the USA. The 17-year-old jumped 100.5 and 103.5 meters and in the end won in a superior way with 279 points ahead of Daniela Iraschko (92.5/104m; 263 pts) and Sara Takanashi (88/98.5m; 240 pts).
While the stars of the skijumping circus were competing at the Heini-Klopfer Ski Flying hill in Oberstdorf/GER, met the athletes of the Continental Cup in Oslo/NOR for the first of three competition. The vicotry on the Midtstuen was secured by Andreas Stjernen (106/103m; 268 pts) ahead of his compatriot Kenneth Gangnes (101/100.5m; 254 pts) and Danny Queck from Germany (100/99.5m; 246.5 pts).
The COC-competitions in Iron Mountain/USA didn't go at all in the best possible way. It took more than four hours before the winner was known: Marinus Kraus (142.5/133m; 292.3 pts). In the second place landed with Markus Eisenbichler (129/138.5m; 266.5 pts) another athlete from Germany, whereas Robert Johansson from Norway finished third with 257 points for 135 and 125 meters.
The Continental Cup in Brotterode/GER made the dominance of Norwegians clear. The podium places went to Anders Fannemel (120/114.5m; 269.1 pts), Simen Grimsrud (115.5/114m; 265.1 pts) and Ole Marius Ingvaldsen (111/120m; 263.8 pts).
